Warm-up: Start with gentle stretches and breathing exercises to prepare the body and mind for physical detoxification.

Hot Detox - A PoP Up!

This class is designed for all levels.
Most of the class is focused on our Shiva-Masculine energy. Our Shiva energy is often associated with Tapas, which translates to heat, fire, detoxification, and purification. The room is heated to 105 degrees.
Hot Yoga's additional benefits:
Detox
1. It is detoxifying due to the amount of sweat your ability to produce. (given that what you are sweating out is water-soluble, not all toxins are water-soluble)
2. Increase your Flexibility
You will get an even deeper stretch in a heated studio because we use the atmosphere to warm the body not exercises that contract your muscles creating the opposite effect.
3. More Lung Capacity
Like other types of yoga that focus on breathing exercises, hot yoga advances lung capacity through breathing pranayama(s).
4. Better Circulation
You can almost feel it while you're doing it. Hot yoga is excellent for your circulation It is a great cardiovascular workout.
5. Stronger Immune System
This effect has been known for a long time. Exercising in a hot environment improves your immune system and elevates the body's regenerative capacity.

This type of work-out is made to improve your glucose metabolism, burn more fat, increase your endurance and build strength.Your entire core, glutes, and upper body will receive special attention.
This energetic class is paired up with up-beat music to keep you focused and highly motivated. Not to mention health and flexibility of the spine to train your muscles to work together; which will lead to good posture & strength throughout your body. All the wonderful core strengthening of Pilates + the invigorating benefits of a heated room.
This class is inspired by the IHP Method but we've up-leveled it! In addition to the resistance band we've incorporated more props! (all optional)
Be prepared to be hot & haute. This is a high energy heated class (96-100 degrees)

We’re inviting fall winter in as we re-introduce our Slow Candle Flow to Wednesday Nights beginning on November 5th at 6:00 PM.
This practice is perfect for finishing your busy day and dropping into Candle Flow vibes.
Candlelight Flow provides a space to unwind, let go, and honor what you need. Practicing asana by candlelight allows you to look within and reconnect with yourself.
This relaxing, slow flow, often moving through Moon Salutations, is a wonderful grounding practice that encourages you to peacefully quiet, calm the mind, release tightness in the body, and soothe the soul, helping you relax into your evening.

This training is for anyone with a desire to learn more about yoga and Ayurveda, whether you plan to teach it after graduation or not.
Requirements: Some exposure to and/or experience with yoga asanas, and a commitment to learning.
